This is my inaugural post. Welcome to you. I am glad that you are here!
I thought that I might share a wee bit about myself so that you can get to know
me a bit better. I was born on the West coast of Canada on an island. After moving
around, I landed in Nevada County in 1977. I consider myself blessed to have lived here
for most of my life. Delightedly, I am married and I have two grown children. In 1999,
I returned to school to attain my Masters in Counseling. Pacifica Graduate Institute is
where I attended school. I found it to be an enriching and fascinating adventure. I
graduated in 2002 and have been providing therapy to adults, children, adolescents
and couples since that time.
I have worked in the schools, with psychologists, in shelters, in treatment facilities and
even in a barn doing equine facilitated counseling. These diverse settings have helped to mold
me into the therapist that I am today. When I see you in my office, you will find that I meet you
right where you are. Helping you to find practical and simple tools to implement so
that you find some relief from what is troubling you.
Please do check back as I will be posting more blogs in the future.
